Diane Monique Lhuillier is a Filipino fashion designer and a bridal couturier now based in United States. Raised in Cebu, Philippines a daughter of prominent businessman Michel J. Lhuillier and former model Amparito Llamas. Lhuillier is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). She has dressed many celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Mandy Moore, Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Janet Jackson, Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey, Natalie Imbruglia and many others. She also designed the wedding gowns of Britney Spears, Kristen Stewart, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Christine Baumgartner wife of Kevin Costner. And even one who have designed fashions for barbie.
At the of 15, Monique attended the prestigious Chateau Mont-Choisi boarding school in Lausanne, Switzerland where she became an outstanding student. To pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles where she met her husband Tom Bugbee. The couple founded Monique Lhuillier & Company in 1996 and since then became one of the leading bridal couturier company in US.
Today, Monique Lhuillier & Company is considered as one of the leading innovative fashion houses in terms of quality, design and brand image. A truly world-class Pinoy!
